Spilonotus Tanzania, formerly sold in the hobby as Insignis, is a Lake Malawi hap from the Liuli area with strong adult male display potential. Its larger size and active swimming style make it best for spacious peacock and hap aquariums.
These extremely colorful cichlids have their colors placed in away that it undoubtedly makes them stand out of the whole crowd. Starting from the top with a Translucent White in the dorsal fin, a thick Royal Blue from the face to tail, leaving the belly, pelvic and anal fins with an extremely bright Yellow. The mouth brooding Cichlid with a striking pattern gets large but is quite docile. Warmer temperatures will boost their immune system as well as their activity level.
