Red Onion Nerite Snail

Nerite snails are some of the best algae eaters in the aquarium world. And this Red Onion variety is very pretty to boot! One nice thing about almost all Nerite snails is that they won't reproduce in freshwater aquariums. They will lay whitish eggs on surfaces, including on each other, but the babies won't grow in fresh water. You can enjoy the benefits of snails without having to worry about them overpopulating and taking over your tank.
All the nerite snail varieties in aquariums come from the wild, so their shells may be imperfect. They might have chips and/or dents from life in the wild, but they are guaranteed to be healthy.
