Phoenix Rasbora (Boraras merah)
Product Details
A true nano fish, topping out at around 1/2"-3/4", the Phoenix Rasbora is a stunning red with black spots. Phoenix Rasboras are great for planted nano tanks. Their red really standout against the green of plants. They prefer a well seasoned tank, so they can pick at algae and biofilm while eating microorganisms.
Many rasboras, such as the Harlequin Rasboras, are assertive feeders that can get their fair share in a community aquarium with tetras and the like. Some however, such as the Boraras species and the various Axelrodi types, are much less assertive and can be outcompeted by more boisterous fish. For this reason, tankmates need to be chosen with care.
Diet: Omnivore and micropredator. Will readily accept most frozen and prepared foods in the aquarium
