Long Fin Tinfoil Barb

Diet: Omnivorous - enjoys a varied diet including high-quality flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and vegetables like blanched spinach and peas.

Temperament: Generally peaceful but can be semi-aggressive and may nip at fins of other fish. Best kept in a large tank with other robust species.

Tank Setup: Provide a spacious tank with plenty of open swimming space and a strong filtration system. Use a fine gravel or sandy substrate and include driftwood and rocks to mimic their natural habitat. Ensure good water quality through filtration and regular water changes.

Compatibility: Tinfoil Barbs can be kept with other large, robust species such as larger cichlids, catfish, and peaceful larger barbs. Avoid housing with smaller or more delicate fish that may be harassed or seen as prey.

Behavior: Active and shoaling, Tinfoil Barbs are known for their silver coloration and distinctive elongated dorsal and anal fins. They are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 5-6 individuals to thrive.
