Guppies are small, colorful livebearers that do well in planted and community tanks. We would say a 10 gallon tank is the absolute bare minimum for a small group, but bigger tanks give more stable water and space for breeding so we love using 20 gallon longs and say that's the best tank size to start. We feed them a mix of quality flakes, micro pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods like brine shrimp or bloodworms. Males are smaller and brighter with bigger tail where the females are larger, rounder and often have less color. Guppies breed often, so we recommend lots of plants and hiding spots if you want the fry to survive.
Diet: Omnivore and micropredator, will readily feed on most prepared and frozen foods in the aquarium
